My room, is struggling since I haven't gotten it completely arranged since I moved into it. My things and Steph's things are still sharing the same space (I am patiently waiting for a roommate to MOVE out of the basement. . .so we can begin the whole roommate room shift.) Every time I plan on taking care of things on my day off I get sidetracked (insert depression here). I have discovered that I cannot just plan to do it because I usually end up giving up. Frustration ensues, and I get kinda depressed that I can't do it all at once. I do know that little by little is best for me and when I FEEL like doing something I better get going and make my room a little better.
So there you have it.

I read that the best way to try to get organized is not to plan to get it all done at once, but start out by writing a goal of what you want to accomplish. Then have a finish date, and then schedule times, at least 3 times, between the time you set the goal and your finish date. Pick a realistic time limit, so instead of saying "I've got to get this all done now", it's "I'm going to work on this today for an hour, and then I'll stop after that hour." Also I read to make sure that you have all the supplies you'll need on hand, so you won't need to stop to go get a bin, or a notebook..etc. I haven't had much of a chance to practice any of it, so I don't know if it'll help. I get pretty stressed myself when I try to get organized, so you have my sympathy! (Oh this is Jessica by the way, so you don't think some random stranger is writing on your blog) :)
