yes, been there done that. The fam went yesterday and it was AWESOME! There were alot of people though and that was the bummer. I did buy stuff though.
I was told by a co-worker that she and her husband that they were going to wait until the novelty wore off. I had to explain that it wasn't a novelty for my family, that every time we are in Cali and there is an Ikea in the area we go. It was really quite funny, cause after she was like oh.
It is AWESOME. . .can't wait til I have my own place and can purchase my own couch. . .I found one I love.

lol. On our way back from your place the other day, I looked in the parking lot. there were no empty spaces. it may not be a novelty for some folks, but I doubt it'll still be THAT packed next January. I could be wrong, though. It's happened before. ;)
I had decided to wait, too. If I go now, I have to go with someone besides hubby ... and they'd probably have to drive. Crowds I'm okay with. Mobs, not so much. ;)
